Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. While growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is a lover of tangos and operas. She also loves drama performances. Ana began to study singing and play music from an early age, along with her mother. The singer received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private celebrations and in the Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She has been involved in many local activities, both an educator and performer because she is passionate about music and art. Ana has also been a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity give others a taste of her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to keep the traditional music in the present.
